Dental blogging subjects

Dental blogs are critical to high rankings on Google. See dental marketing, how to multiply your website's results, and dental blogs and dental blogging, for more.

But, what should you write about in your dental blog?

I choose to write about celebrities. And let me tell you why.

People want to read a blog that is interesting. How interesting is dentistry?

Answer: it is interesting to people thinking of a particular dental procedure. Or people with a dental problem right then. So we do want to talk about dentistry in our blogs. But if we stick to dentistry it will not be terribyly interesting.

So I write about celebrities and dentistry.

Posting to your dental blog

You want to post with celebrities that interest your target market. Many dentists are going after affluent Boomers so I would often target celebrities like Robert Duvall who are familiar to people in that age range.

I would skew more to women than to men, and to stars who are somewhat controversial (only somewhat) and in the news.dental blogging subjects

That way, when I promote the blog posts on many different social media sites, I am promoting an interesting story rather than one that is dull.

Licensing your dental blog photos

Be sure you get licensing rights so you aren't violating copyright and you don't get into big trouble.

Celebrity photos don't require model releases but photos of ordinary people do. I buy photos or license photos but for my blogs I make sure I have legal rights to do what I am doing.

Subjects for your dental blog

There are tons of dental blogging subjects:

  • sedation dentistry if you do it
  • cosmetic dentistry
  • all sorts of specific procedures
  • case studies and examples
  • anything in the news that relates to dentistry or teeth

And please get my $59.95 classic in its third edition, the bible of case acceptance and dental marketing, free and instantly, when you enter your name and email. I will never share your info with anyone and you can opt out anytime you want.

By the way, I blogged about Robert Duvall's hiding his smile…do you think he is afraid of the dentist? It's a good question and is a great lead-in to sedation dentistry and its many benefits, don't you think?
